O So Samui!

Having visited all the Thai Islands including Phuket and Pattaya,Koh Samui is by far my favourite. In terms of beach, food, partying, massages and cleanliness its by far the best.
Koh Samui,  forty minutes flight from Bangkok, capital of Thailand. Bangkok Air also connects it to other major Thai cities.

Main area: Chaweng and Bo-phut are the centre most areas with many restaurants and flea markets. Along with food, massage parlours along the streets of Chaweng are very popular. Other area are further down from the airport namely Lamai Beach, Taling Ngam.

Recommended places to stay
Quiet and serene: W hotel Bo Phut

Poppies hotel famous for their brilliant service and superb food.
In the middle of it all: Centara Grand Samui,Chaweng Beach, Sareeraya Chaweng,Amari Hotel.

In the middle of it all: Centara Grand Samui,Chaweng Beach, Sareeraya Chaweng.

Places to Eat: Try the eat senses restaurant right next to Poppies for a taste bud satisfying experience.Coffee shops at most hotels serve fabulous Thai food. For Italian go to Prego at the Amari hotel. Cliff Bar and Grill a short drive from Chaweng beach is worth a visit for its food and fabulous views. Ark Bar and Green mango are great places on the beach for after party.

Getting Around: Open aired travel jeep called Tuk Tuk are the easiest mode of transport in Koh Samui for short distances. They charge 50 baht fixed from point to point. For longer distances taxi are available but its better to book via the hotel.
